Princessa AKA Whitey

Princessa AKA Whitey Name – Princessa AKA Whitey
Born – 1996
Breed – Lusitano
Sire – Gaviao II (i)
Height – 15hh
Horseanality – RBI (probably)
Level – 4
Colour – Grey
Whose horse is she? David’s
How long have you had her? Since 2004
Achievements
Demonstrations – Whitey has demonstrated at numerous events across Europe including- EQITANA Germany, once with Pat Parelli.

Other info – When David bought her he found her to be very cute but difficult mare who was nearly not ride able. She is still not everybody’s horse but is much calmer and more self confident. She plays in all 4 savvies and is a good help if David needs to play horseback with another horse.
Whitey is good at pulling, she has been in a carriage and regularly harrows the arena.

Whitey carried David away from the church when Alison and David were married in 2015.

Attyrory Exchange AKA Yellow

Attyrory Exchange AKA Yellow Born – 2001
Breed – Passport says Irish sports horse, but he must be a Connemara pony!
Height – 14.3 ¼!
Horseanality – LBE/ RBI
Level – beyond level 4
Colour – Dun
Whose horse is he? Alison’s
How long have you had him? Since 2007
Competition – Yellow currently has 189 BD (British Dressage) points, 20 medium points and has qualified for the regional championships at Elementary three times, medium once, attending twice. He also qualified for area festival at medium level. We have a high aim for this little pony, to compete at Prix St George. Although not bred for dressage, he has huge try and it is a lot of fun taking an ‘ordinary’ horse to a good level in dressage.

Demonstrations – He has demonstrated Parelli at national events such as Horse of the year show, locals such as- Holsworthy show, Devon County show and Dorset county show. He has also been a part of the National Parelli days on 2 occasions at Addington 2015 and Aintree 2013. Along with Grey, Yellow went to Scotland as part of our demo tour in 2011.

Special characteristics
– Bouncing, sitting and getting people to say ‘he is so cute’!

Other info – He was bought to sell on but quickly found a place in Alison’s heart as he had so much try. He was fairly tricky to begin with, very sensitive, claustrophobic, cinchy, every day was a restart for some time! He has grown in self-confidence so much that now he is reliable in most situations. He is very clever he uses his brain to work out the answer to games set up for him and if there is a new mare around thinks he is a stallion! In 2009 he went to Germany and Alison rode him in lessons with Walter Zettl. He has led the carnival twice!

He will not be sold.

Special characteristics – Having his eyes shut in every picture! Grey is the least photo genic horse we have at the horse place.

Other info – Born in Spain, his dam is a Parelli L4 Horse, his breeder a L4 student. Grey is a pleasure to have around. His 5th time being ridden was in a demonstration. He can be very helpful if a saddle horse is needed to help with young horses. He harrows the arena and drags logs.

Grey carried Alison to the church when David and Alison were married in 2015.

Grey is Elba’s older brother- same dam, different sire, bred in Spain.

Dandini AKA Dan

Whose horse is he? He is a Horse Place horse
How long have you had him? Since Dec 2014
About Dan – Dan is part of the ‘Fluffy’ project which was designed to take a young horse through the start and foundation part of their education and be sold on into their ‘forever’ home. This was designed to give horses a great start and also our working student’s exposure of hands on in the starting process.

The other Fluffies to date:

Fluffy – Sold to Helen Philips in Wales, 2012
Blue – Sold to Ellen Thomas 2013
Pie (Blues daughter) – Sold to Helene Cook 2014

Dan is not a ‘confidence giver’ as our other fluffies have been, he is a bit more extroverted. Currently he is going through Level 3 all savvies by Lena, our working student and has been ridden bridle less in all 3 paces.

Dan is looking for a great new home, either as a companion or with someone to bring him on and have fun with him. He is a friendly horse who is nice to be around. Do you know anyone who can give Dan a great home? Please let us know.

Horseanality – RBI/RBE
Level – Beyond Level 4
Colour – Chestnut
Whose horse was he? Alison’s
How long did you have him? 17 Years
Achievements
Competition – Ali and Orange had a go at everything, he show jumped in British Novice and 1m amateur, Evented intro and pre novice, dressage to medium level. He qualified and competed at the regional championships at Kingston Maurwood College at Elementary. They also had a go at Trec.
Demonstrations – Orange was Ali’s first demo horse, starting with Parelli tours in the UK went onto to huge events like the FEI European championships, Burghley horse trials (main arena), Gatcombe (main arena), Windsor Show, British Open (show jumping championships at NEC), numerous Pat and Linda demos at the NEC and Solihull riding club (one of which Linda rode him), CLA game fair, Royal welsh, the Royal show, to name but a few. At the Royal Festival of the Horse I was lucky enough to receive a public lead change lesson from Pat Parelli himself. His last ever demonstration was at Horse World Live at the Excell arena in London which Linda Parelli was leading.
Special Characteristics – His liberty and leg connection were fantastic.
Note from Ali – Orange was the most wonderful partner in my foundation journey. I bought him to sell on as he has good ears – ears that go straight forwards when he is scared! What I had not really understood when I went to see him and bought him was that he was a runaway, on the ground mainly, but what they do on the ground they do ridden, maybe I should have guessed as he took off with two of us when we were riding him to try him!!

He never was sold!!

Testimonial

"There is something about this place where you can be immersed and surrounded by great horsemanship. Live it, breath it, watch it, feel it, getting away from usual distractions, and laughs, did I mention the laughing? I for one will be back many times."
