Parelli Demonstration at The Mare and Foal Sanctuary 16th July

Alison and David were invited to give two short Parelli demonstrations as part of the Mare and Foal Sanctuary Open Day celebrations this year. Another new venue for us.

The local South Hams Parelli Group were instrumental in arranging this demonstration and played a large part on the day. Helping to set up the arena before and during the demo, supplying the much appreciated gazebo for our joint trade stand and three members of the group taking part in the demonstration with Alison and David.

The first session in the morning included Charlotte Wright with her pony, Molly and Imogen Wright making a last minute appearance to help out with Briar. Alison and David had Cookie  and Whity with them. Alison led this session on ground skills, starting  online and finishing with all four horses at liberty.

For the afternoon session, led by David, they were joined by Nell Cruse with Shaun to give a demo of freestyle riding followed by Alison giving a short display of dressage movements with Cookie.

There was a constant stream of people visiting the trade stand, looking for more information, which increased substantially after each demo.

We are grateful to the students of the South Hams Group who, through their contacts and use of the facilities at the Mare and Foal Sanctuary raised enough interest in the Parelli Method for us to be asked to attend.

We have now arranged to return on Bank Holiday Monday, 29th August for a full Parelli Demonstration.

Full details are on the calendar.

"There is something about this place where you can be immersed and surrounded by great horsemanship. Live it, breath it, watch it, feel it, getting away from usual distractions, and laughs, did I mention the laughing? I for one will be back many times."
